February 16th

Today was my little sister's birthday party. We celebrated at home, and her friends came over. We got up early, had breakfast, and started decorating the house. We blew up lots of balloons and put up more decorations. Once everything was ready, both sisters wanted to wear "Frozen" makeup, so their mom and I did their makeup, and as soon as we finished, the guests started arriving. All the children sat in a circle and each one gave him his gift. Then we played board games and ate. We also did a scavenger hunt and at the end they broke the piñatas that we had made ourselves days before.

April 3rd

Today is the second-to-last day in Germany before returning to Spain. In the morning, we went to school as usual. The last few hours of school were canceled (something that happens often), so we were able to go home early, although Jimena and I, the other Spanish girl, preferred to go to the gym. In the afternoon, we had two hours at the bowling alley booked with our families. We played and were surprised to find that bowling was apparently very common here, and everyone was really good at it. We also had dinner there together and talked. It was really fun and great.

January 12th

Today we got up at 8, first we went to the riding school to feed and prepare the German family's horse for a competition. Then we took the car and drove for two hours to some incredible swimming pools. I went with Lara's whole family and it was a lot of fun. It was a very big place and everything is very nice and clean, quite different from Spain. After changing we went to see all the facilities, there were olympic pools, outdoor pools (from which there were beautiful views since it was snowing ), water slides... all with heated water. We also ate there in a restaurant, that was very nice. We returned home at six, so we could have dinner at home at 7.30pm. It was a good day.

February 22th

A while ago, our classmates invited us to a birthday party. They invited two other Spanish girls and me. A month in advance, they asked us if we wanted to go and if we had that day off. After a while, they gave us personalized invitations with the dress code and other necessary information. Today was the party, and it was really cool and very different from the parties in Spain. When we arrived, like in all the houses here, we had to take off our shoes and put the gifts on a table. The party was in a house that was incredibly well decorated according to the theme: a New York disco party. There was also a bar with all kinds of savory food to dine on, and another bar with sweets and drinks. They explained to us that the house was divided into different stations: a dance area, a photocall, several Polaroid cameras and an album to display photos and create party memories, tons of sunglasses and things to decorate them, and a few other things.
